TRAVEL WITH TYLA • EUROPE TRIP PLANNING

Plan Your Dream European Trip

Every resource I personally use — from finding flights to getting a SIM card the moment you land.

1. Book Your Flights

Start here. Flights set your trip dates and determine the flow of everything else. I always compare a few platforms before booking to make sure I am getting the best deal.

Kiwi.com

Fight comparisons & discounts

Booking.com

Compare flight prices

Trip.com

Flights + Hotels combo deals

Tyla's Tip: Set up price alerts on Google Flights first to track average prices for your preferred route, then book through one of the above platforms or directly with the airline once you see a good deal. Flying mid-week and avoiding major holiday periods (i.e. Easter and Christmas) will almost always have lower fares.

2. Find Your Stay

Whether you prefer a boutique hotel in the old town or a spacious apartment where you can live like a local, these are my go-to accommodation booking platforms.

Booking.com

Discounts on Hotels & Aprtments

Airbnb

Private Apartments

Trip.com

Hotels with bundles

Vrbo

Private holiday homes & villas

Hostelworld

Budget shared rooms

Tyla's Tip: A lot of apartments are listed on both Booking.com and Airbnb, so make sure to check both as often the prices differ and you can save $$$.

3. Getting Around

Europe is incredibly well connected. Here's how I plan every transfer, from airport pickups to cross-country trains.

Booking.com

Rental Cars

Discover Cars

Best price comparison

Welcome Pickups

Airport & City Transfers

Omio

Compare + book trains, buses & flights

BusBud

Budget bus routes

Tyla's Tip: For city-to-city travel under 4 hours, trains are almost always the move in Europe as they drop you right in the city centre. I use Omio to compare everything in one place, then book directly only if it's cheaper.

4. Tours & Activities

Pre-booking skip-the-line access and guided tours is non-negotiable at Europe's most popular sites. These are the platforms I trust and use frequently.

Get Your Guide

Tours & skip-the-line

Viator

Huge selection of tours

LivTours

Small group experiences, pricey but worth it!

Take Walks

Exclusive & unique tours

Tiqets

Tickets to major sights

Tyla's Tip: Do not leave booking your tours and tickets to the last-minute as tickets to popular sights and highly rated tours sell out several days, weeks or even months in advance. Also, remember to ALWAYS read the reviews for honest and real feedback!

5. Travel Essentials

The unglamorous but essential stuff - including insurance, money, connectivity, and luggage. Sort these before you fly and everything will go smoothly.

SafetyWing

Travel Medical Insurance - I've used SafetyWing for the past 3 years of travel around Europe! All 3 of my claims have been easy and paid out quickly.

Revolut

The best bank for multi-currency spending and fee free ATM withdrawls. They also do eSims!

Wise

A good alternative if you can't get Revolut

Airalo

eSIMs for 200+ countries

NordVPN

Wifi security & access to global streaming

Radical Storage

Temporary Luggage storage in most cities. This is super useful on checkout days when you still have a few more things to see before you leave.

Tyla's Tip:  Install your eSIM before you board your flight, that way you will have data the second you land. I also always carry both a Wise and Revolut bank card as backup!
